INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT PROGRAM

New York Anxiety Treatment’s 6-week Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for individuals with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and related Anxiety Disorders offers evidence-based treatment for patients in need of increasing their level of care. The program offers a step-down option for those who have just completed an OCD-specific residential program.  The program takes place in-person Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm in New York, New York. In addition, IOP patients are offered 2 individual sessions each week with a member of our clinical team as well as two Friends & Family coaching sessions.

Our Therapeutic Approach

The IOP program consists of three intensive days of exposure-based group therapy each week in conjunction with individual treatment. We approach treatment through the principles of Accepting Uncertainty and Exposure Response Prevention and use Motivational Interviewing and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy in our treatment delivery. Our program focuses on intensive exposure practice and goal setting, while simultaneously helping patients build a skill set that will increase their ability to manage symptoms following their completion of the program.

Population

Patients suffering with OCD, Illness Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Agoraphobia, Social Anxiety Disorder, and Specific Phobias may benefit from this program.
